Tour the galleries and chill on the patio…simply BE at AWAACC. \n21 and over + City Stylish Attire \nCash Bar and Hors D’oeuvres \n\nFREE – No Tickets Required\nIntermission is co-hosted by Gina Winstead from Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh’s Department of Inclusion\, Diversity\, Equity & Accessibility (IDEA) and BNY Mellon IMPACT. \nSchedule of Events:\nThe Intermission: Artful Happy Hour” 6-9p\nDecompress and relax after work at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.  Start the evening with live music\, gallery tours\, bites and bar service and guest DJs at our mixer for the professional set every third Thursday of the month! \n“The Second Act” 9p-12a\nThe Second Act changes the pace on the third Thursday with hip-hop\, classic throwbacks\, art\, and the city’s hottest DJs. Calling all socialites that can transform the museum to the club in a moment’s notice! \nClosing Reception for Onna-Bugeisha: Warriors of Light\nFebruary 15\, 7:30-9pm\, The Claude Worthington Benedum Gallery\, 2nd floor \nJoin us for a final view of the Onna-Bugeisha: Warriors of Light exhibit with a closing reception featuring a conversation with artists Tim Okamura\, Wildcat Ebony Brown\, and guest curator Karla Ferguson. Enjoy music\, drinks\, and a very special performance of Japanese and African drumming ensembles by The Legacy Arts Project and Pittsburgh Taiko. \nThis is event is free\, but registration is requested.
