SUMMARY:Ritual as Liberation: Sound + Yoga Session
DESCRIPTION:Move through an all-levels yoga experience curated by Tye Clarke\, set to the original score of Jibril Washington’s GREETINGS\, followed by a Q+A with the project’s music producers. \nRooted in the history of the DAP as a ritual of trust and solidarity among Black soldiers\, this experience explores the ways ritual supports and cultivates community\, connection\, and resilience through yoga\, breath\, movement\, and sound. We’ll consider how ritual has appeared across communities as a practice of grounding\, individual and collective care\, and liberation\, and how these practices can reconnect us to ourselves and one another.
