

Flashlight Tour at AWAACC: See Art in a New Light

Join us for an after-hours Flashlight Tour at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, an evening that transforms how you experience art.
The night begins with a reception from 7 to 8 PM, followed by guided tours starting promptly at 8 PM. Actor Wali Jamalwill lead August Wilson: The Writer’s Landscape, Curator and Exhibition Manager Kimberley Jacobs will guide guests through John Rhoden: Determined to Be and Lavett Ballard: A Rose is A Rose, and Curatorial Fellow Caleb A. Smithwill lead Being/Seen. Guests will also enjoy a tour through the Teenie Harris Archives, offering a closer look at one of Pittsburgh’s most cherished photographic legacies.
This is the final opportunity to see John Rhoden: Determined to Be and Being/Seen before they close, creating an unforgettable night filled with light, conversation, and discovery. Each guest will receive an AWAACC-branded flashlight to use during the tour and take home as a keepsake.
