Join us on Saturday, July 18 from 12–3 PM at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center for a FREE, fun-filled day of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for the whole family! All activities are from 12–3pm unless otherwise specified.

This event is co-presented by: UPMC/UPMC Health Plan and Howmet Aerospace Foundation, with additional support provided by PPG Foundation, Duquesne Light Company, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, and RAD.

Explore hands-on STEM fun with community partners like Carnegie Science Center, Moonshot Museum, Citizens Science Lab, Mad Science Lab, Assemble, and more.

Cadence Collection

The Cadence Collage workshop gives families the opportunity to create their own unique tote bags and collage masterpieces. Participants will explore rhythms, patterns, and textures to design a one-of-a-kind accessory that reflects their personal style and creativity.

Houzeofwaxx — Studio / Radio

Families will be able to build, tune, and race cars on a controlled racetrack. This activity shows how electrical energy is stored in a battery, how the shape of a car’s body determines airflow, how friction works when choosing certain tires, and more.

Read to Dream with Young Dreamers Bookstore — Highmark Room

Families will be invited to discover the joy of reading through engaging Storytime experiences and literary activities.
