Join the August Wilson African American Cultural Center on Sunday, February 26th, 2023 for “Create and Sip” the third event of inaugural Beyond the Red Door: a theatrical event series. Grab a glass of wine, beer or soda and dive into an afternoon of fun arts workshops for the casual artist, rooted in August Wilson’s creative process and his play Gem of the Ocean.
Create something new under the guidance of a professional playwright and visual artist in a casual atmosphere with drinks and snacks. All art supplies and free snacks will be provided! There will be free time after the workshops to chat with the workshop leaders, continue sipping, and/or working on your favorite piece. Bar and Food open at 2:30pm with workshops beginning at 3pm.
The event will be ticketed. Cash bar. Snacks provided. For ages 21+. $20 Tickets, including art supplies and food, at awaacc.org
