8:00pm | AWAACC Theater

Celebrating Pittsburgh sculptor Thaddeus G. Mosley (1926-2026) on his centennial starting with a screening of “Dancing Hands: A Thad Mosley Story,” directed by Emmai Alaquiva, executive produced by Janis Burley, and co-produced by Janice Bond and Sadie Woods, followed by a conversation with Emmai Alaquiva, Charlene Foggie-Barnett, Charles “Teenie” Harris Archive Community Archivist at Carnegie Museum of Art, and artist-writer Audra Allen.

The tribute continues with a set of jazz standards from Thad’s personal favorites, followed by the premiere of “Sculptures at an Exhibition,” a four-movement work curated by Flavio Chamis, with pieces composed by Roger Humphries, Dwayne Dolphin, and Howie Alexander, each inspired by a Mosley sculpture of their choosing, with special guest Colter Harper, Yoko Suzuki, and other special guests to be announced.

Learn more about TGM@100 at tgmat100.com. Continue the celebration Saturday, July 25 at the Thaddeus G. Mosley at 100 Symposium at Carnegie Museum of Art, featuring a repeat performance of “Sculptures at an Exhibition.” Free, registration recommended.
