Sarah and Gerald Haynes posed for a photo with their 16-month-old daughter in front of Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday, eager to teach her not only Christmas traditions but those for Kwanzaa as well. They were among hundreds of people who attended the August Wilson African American Cultural Center’s Holiday Community Day, which brings together customs associated with the two holidays.
