The August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) invites supporters, arts lovers, and community champions to become a permanent part of our history by dedicating a seat in our theater. As we celebrate our 15th Anniversary and advance the Fuel the Future fundraising drive, naming a seat allows you to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or affirm your commitment to Black arts and culture in Pittsburgh and beyond.
A seat dedication is more than a plaque — it is an investment in the Center’s mission and the next generation of artists, storytellers, and cultural leaders. Your contribution strengthens the foundation that allows AWAACC to present world-class performances, free exhibitions, and educational programs that uplift the African American experience and the African diaspora.
Naming opportunities include $7,500 for an orchestra seat and $3,750 for a balcony seat, ensuring donors at every level can leave a lasting imprint on the Center. Every gift supports the future of AWAACC by expanding access to the arts, inspiring school-aged children, and sustaining the Center as a hub for creativity, community, and connection for years to come. Personalized inscriptions—such as “In Memory of August Wilson” or “In Honor of [Name]”—allow every dedication to reflect the meaning and legacy behind your gift.
